• Innovative projects or initiatives that focus on promoting health equity, whether through education, research, community outreach, or other means.

The GirlCode Hackathon. GirlCode.
• An annual, all-women 30 hours coding marathon designed to address the gender gap in the tech industry by providing female developers with a high-intensity, real-world platform to showcase their technical talent, develop innovative solutions, and build crucial industry networks.
• Women and non-binary individuals who are creatives, developers, designers, product managers, entrepreneurs, and students. All skill levels are welcome.
• South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Ghana.
• Up to ~$5,974 (R100,000) cash prize alongside a 6-month accelerator programme.
• Hackathon Dates in S.A & Botswana: 15-16 August 2026. In Kenya, Uganda & Tz: 5-6 September 2026. In Ghana: 11-12 September 2026. Apply as early as possible before the hackathon dates.

• New partnerships that want to develop a work exchange project together and prepare a future Phase 2 application.

• Innovative locally driven initiatives that safeguard democracy while advancing peace, justice, and nonviolence.
• Local and community-based and faith-based organizations. Feminist, grassroots groups, and youth movements are encouraged to apply.
• Global South partners. However, collaboration with a Global North partner could be included in the financing.
• Up to $15k grants (10 awards total).

Gender Equality Partnerships 2026. British Council.
• To strengthen gender equality in higher education.
• Themes: 1) Addressing underrepresentation of women in higher education leadership, 2) Strengthening pathways into employment, 3) Creating safe higher education spaces and 4) Enabling participation of women in STEM.
• The UK lead institution must be a higher education provider with degree-awarding powers.
• The UK and: Bangladesh, Ghana, Kenya, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Ukraine.
• £25k grants.
• September 21, 2026.
Disability Inclusion Partnerships 2026. British Council.
• 1) Strengthen disability-inclusive policies, systems and practices within higher education institutions, 2) improve opportunities, participation and outcomes for persons with disabilities in higher education and 3) support sustainable institutional change through partnership, evidence generation and knowledge exchange.
• The UK lead institution must be a higher education provider with degree-awarding powers.
• The UK and: Bangladesh, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
• £25k grants.
• September 21, 2026.
Clean Cooking Solutions. Solar Impulse Foundation.
• Clean cooking solutions that are both environmentally sustainable and economically viable, with a focus on communities in the Global South.
• Clean cooking innovators, with particular interest for: locally-led initiatives, women-led enterprises, solutions deployed in refugee and displacement settings, PAYGO and innovative financing models.
• LMICs.
• Up to ~$12,222 (CHF 10k) in catalytic funding.
