The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives – Liberia (2026). Government of Canada.
• 1) Inclusive governance, 2) Peace and security, 3) Growth that works for everyone, 4) Gender equality, 5) Human dignity or 6) Environment and climate action.
• NGOs, community and not-for-profits, academic institutions and government institutions. They should all be working on local projects.
• Projects are selected and approved by the relevant Canadian embassy to Côte d’Ivoire and Liberia.
• ~$35,480 ($49k CAD) grants.

Team Up for Climate 2026 challenge. Egis Foundation.
• An innovative solution on the topic: adapting and living together in the face of climate risks.
• Students and young graduates in teams of 2 to 5.
• All countries.
• Compete to share a €17k reward dedicated to the top three teams. A boost prize of €5k (conditional after 6 to 8 months of development) is also available.

• Exceptional artists whose work embodies the spirit of African Futurism and aligns with the theme "Africa in 2100."
• Open to artists and creatives aged 18-45. All artistic disciplines and mediums are welcome.

Research Grants. Pau Casals UNESCO Chair.
• Research projects are not restricted to the figure of Pablo Casals but are open to any topics related to his musical career and the values that the musician defended throughout his life, such as human rights, the culture of peace, international justice or the role of music and culture in conflict prevention and social cohesion.
• Research proposals must not yet be developed.

• Women’s rights organizations exploring how AI technology might help solve real problems in communities and move toward greater gender equality.
• Women-led or primarily working on women’s rights civil society organization, interdisciplinary team, or activist organization.
• Africa.
• Up to ~$10,969 (CAD 15k) seed grants.
• April 25, 2026.
Africa AI Safety Prize Competition. Centre for AI Security and Access (CASA).
• Empowers researchers, practitioners, and innovators to build foundational, context-appropriate AI safety tools for African communities.
• Individual, or on behalf of a for-profit or not-for-profit.
• You do not need to be based in Africa, but your solution must be deployable, adaptable, and beneficial to African contexts.
• Up to $5k cash prize.
