Informing humanitarian response through research, learning and innovation. Novo Nordisk Foundation.
• Support humanitarian actors and the humanitarian system in identifying, adapting, or integrating research and learning, and innovative approaches to improve the quality of humanitarian response and deliver better outcomes for people affected by humanitarian crises.
• Preference will be given to applications containing one or more of the following approaches: nexus approach, localization approach i.e. strengthening the capacity and involvement of local organizations and communities in affected countries and furthering more equal partnerships, and approaches to promote inclusion, including gender mainstreaming.
• OECD DAC List of ODA Recipients in the following geographies: sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, South Asia, and Ukraine. For the categories Lower Middle Income Countries, the applicant must describe how the project will specifically focus on people in vulnerable situations or affected by crises from one or more of these geographies.
• Non-profits only. International humanitarian organizations, with engagements in humanitarian settings in more than one country, are eligible to apply as main applicants. It’s encouraged to engage research or knowledge institutions, local organizations, regional networks or similar as co-applicants.
• DKK 1m and DKK 5m ($138k - $690k) for projects lasting up to 2 years.

MassChallenge Switzerland.
• 4-month acceleration program, running from June 30th to October 30th.
• Eligible to early-stage startups from any industry. Will only accept startups whose solution will add value to society (for example, Millions of Tones CO2 eq. removed/avoided, Millions of Litres of water saved, lives saved), and all startups in the accelerator will be advised about how to make their business climate responsible.
• Startups will need to travel and be present in Switzerland 2 times
• Compete for up to CHF 1M in non-dilutive cash prizes and other in-kind awards.

• Seeks to support SMEs in Sudan relocating from conflict areas to more stable parts of the country.
• For private sector companies in Kassala, el Gadarif, and Port Sudan in Sudan.
• Renewable energy and agriculture sectors.
• €750k. (€250k for small enterprises). Matching contribution: 25% of the requested amount.

• Promote solar installations for productive use for companies with high potential for job creation in Burkina Faso by facilitating their access to finance.

Single Project Co-funding Opportunity. EIT Food.
• Seeking innovative solutions in three priority areas: Protein Diversification; Regenerative Agriculture; Labeling, Packaging & Transparency.
• Projects are collaborative and require a minimum of two organizations. At least one should be a company or social enterprise directly involved with key communities, and at least one other should be a research or university organization. Should be from at least two different countries.
• EIT will reimburse up to 70% of the eligible project costs.
• €1m.

EIT Food Collaborative Missions Programmes. EIT Food.
• Funding for collaborative projects that address major societal challenges in the food system, aiming to create a healthy, resilient, and sustainable food system.
• Open to organisations from EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associate Countries.
• Consortia must include at least two independent entities from two different eligible countries, with at least one industry or social enterprise organization.
• Organizations must have at least 1 year of trading history.
• Address mission targets such as improving health through food, achieving a net-zero food system, and reducing risks for a fair and resilient food system.
• Food innovation: including agriculture, food production, supply chains, sustainability, health, and food security.
• €1m per year. for up to 2 years. Applicants must co-fund at least 30% of the total program costs.

Impact and Innovation in Commodity Value Chains. Common Fund for Commodities.
• Supporting proposals investing in the poorest and most vulnerable people in the global value chains, which may concern production, processing, financing, marketing, research, and development (R&D), etc.
• SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises)/enterprises/ cooperatives are invited to apply for Impact Finance in the commodity sector.
• CFC Member Countries.
• Fund with loan and other debt instruments. $1.5m for regular projects. $300k under Fast-Track procedure.

DeveloPPP Classic. German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
• Contribute to sustainable development in emerging markets.
• Projects should align with one or more SDGs, and in sectors: agriculture, health, and energy, with a strong emphasis on impact, innovation, sustainable economic development, job creation, technology transfer, and capacity building.
• Must be privately owned and profit-oriented and registered in the EU, EFTA or a country on the OECD DAC list.
• DEG Impulse or GIZ as implementing partner.
• Annual turnover of at least €800k.
• €2m. Covering up to 50% of the total costs.
• Launching February 15, 2025.
Investment in Women’s Cooperatives and Association. AECF.
• Strengthen the private sector’s commitment to women as economic actors; increase private and public sector investment in locally owned and led small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs); reduce systemic gender inequalities.
• Eligible to registered cooperative, association, organization, or women’s group that is aligned with the targeted areas of intervention, that can demonstrate 100% female management and a dominant representation of women employees, women entrepreneurs, women agro-industrialists, and/or service providers.
• Must be legally registered and physically established in Benin or Burkina Faso.
• Average CAD $150k (min $75k, max $300k, up to 10 organizations). 25% match contribution (cash or in-kind).

Innovation Fund for Impactful AI. GSMA.
• Support for AI-powered solutions that have a positive social impact, particularly in LMICs. It focuses on leveraging AI to address challenges in areas such as health, education, climate, and agriculture.
• Will support: projects with a focus on predictive and/or generative AI innovations that show promise to scale and generate positive socio-economic and/or climate-related impacts; projects that clearly outline how emerging technologies (machine learning, computer vision, Internet of Things (IoT), remote sensing, drones, blockchain, etc.) are contributing to the deployment of AI-driven products and services; projects across the AI ecosystem.
• Eligible to projects under the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list.
• Eligible to for-profit organizations with a proven track record of delivering AI solutions.
• Not eligible for governments and government-owned agencies; NGOs; universities or academic organisations; startup accelerators and incubators.
• £100k - £200k. 25% match contribution (cash or in-kind). 15 and 18 months.
• March 12, 2025.
Community Grants: Round 2. Ocean Community Empowerment and Nature (OCEAN).
• Supporting innovative proposals from local coastal communities and organisations that aim to deliver marine protection and reduce poverty worldwide.
• Open to small and medium sized, local, regional and national organisations including civil society organisations (CSOs), NGOs, private sector organisations, businesses, and business associations.
• Eligible to projects under the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list (with some moderation). List of eligible countries is available here.
• £250k. 1 year. (The maximum annual budget value in any given year must not exceed 50% of the lead organisation’s annual income).

Partnership Grants. Ocean Community Empowerment and Nature (OCEAN).
• Supporting large scale partnerships to deliver lasting change to the marine environment and coastal communities.
• Open to small and medium sized, local, regional and national organisations including civil society organisations (CSOs), NGOs, private sector organisations, businesses, and business associations.
• Eligible to projects under the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list (with some moderation). List of eligible countries is available here.
• Lead organization can be a non-profit organization, academic or research institute, private sector organization, business, or business association; must be formally established for more than three years and must be able to provide at least three full years of audited financial accounts; can be based anywhere in the world, though projects from local/national organisations are encouraged; funds cannot be used to generate a profit for the lead organization.
• £500k – £3m.

Addressing Economic and Social Inequalities through Financial Innovation. SDG Impact Finance Initiative (SIFI)/UBS.
• Supporting innovative financial solutions to reduce income disparities, ensure equitable access to economic resources, and protect vulnerable populations, with a dedicated focus on addressing the local currency challenge.
• Financial innovation must target private investors.
• SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.
• Eligible to registered impact-focused ODA-eligible organizations—such as investment managers, NGOs, and similar entities.
• Feasibility Studies: Provides funding to evaluate the feasibility of a proposed financial mechanism designed to address a clearly defined problem.
• Expansion Projects: Provides funding to scale an already launched financial mechanism and achieve financial viability.
• CHF 2m total to 5 innovators around CHF 500k ($550k USD) each.
• EoI: March 3, 2025. Must submit an EoI to be invited to submit a Proposal in Stage-2.
Call for Partnerships. P4G.
• Accepting applications for partnerships working on climate mitigation or adaptation solutions solutions in the areas of food, energy and water.
• Comprises at least one early-stage business and one nonprofit partner.
• Sub-sectors: climate smart agriculture, food loss and waste, water resilience, zero emissions mobility and renewable energy.
• Colombia, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Kenya, South Africa and Vietnam.
• $100k to $300k.
• March 7, 2025.
EEP Africa.
• Opening February 17, 2025; Closing March 21, 2025.
• Providing early-stage, risk-tolerant grants and support to drive clean energy innovation in Southern and Eastern Africa.
• Renewable energy and energy efficiency, including electricity access, productive energy use, mini-grids, power generation, clean cooking, mobility, and energy efficiency.
• Private companies, start-ups, and social enterprises from any country with early-stage projects in EEP Africa target countries and a strong local presence; applicants must be legally registered for at least six months.Southern and Eastern Africa.
Funding for feasibility studies, pilots, replication, and scale-up projects, along with technical support, investment facilitation, and knowledge sharing.
